You dwell into the details of the film with admiration, sensitivity and warmth, and although I havnt seen the film, I could relate with what you were narrating, like the film-maker himself. Need to meet and chat about how you guys achieved what you eventually have!!!
Thanx again,
Ravi DeshpandeAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06194485872213121411noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18694926.post-90742747976733697352012-10-30T21:40:50.194+05:302012-10-30T21:40:50.194+05:30However, I must also say that it did affect me to ...However, I must also say that it did affect me to some extent, the fact that Raj Kumar doesn't age at all through the course of the film, considering that it traverses nearly two decades of his life. And I have a feeling that even if it is only at a sub-conscious level, it will affect viewers of the film as well.

Also, I think shooting with multiple cameras and formats is a bit of a problem. I was literally going, 'Camera change' every single time while watching the film. It is a pity that our post production techniques have still not reached the stage where we can merge footage shot from different cameras seamlessly. Also, it is high time that different manufacturers agreed on a standard for digital cinema formats.

I must say that firstly the film itself, and secondly, reading the manner in which Hansal Mehta approached the film, are really inspiring. Shahid is an emotional experience in itself. And personally for me, the manner in which the film has been made itself adds a layer of emotion to it. Makes me want to make my next short film at the earliest!Pradeephttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14525040150785260962noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18694926.post-69643928933123707422012-10-30T18:14:46.741+05:302012-10-30T18:14:46.741+05:30Beautifully written. Knowing the manner in which Hansal Mehta shot it and his approach towards this film makes it even more special. It reflects in the performances of the actors as well. I'm desperate to watch this film once more now!Pradeephttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14525040150785260962noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18694926.post-63545810423584401322012-10-30T17:31:14.959+05:302012-10-30T17:31:14.959+05:30Hello Ravi,

This is due entirely to the Director of Photography Anuj Dhawan who in my opinion did an outstanding job and is clearly a major talent, I look forward to his future work. Hansal Mehta as well gave me clear and unambiguous direction through the colour correction process, it was all about telling the story, and what a story it is.
Regards,
Martin Sansom.
